How to Listen YouTube Music Videos in The Background of Your iPhone X, iPhone 8, 7, 6 Any iOS

There Was A Time When It Was Possible to Continue A Video Started Simply by Pressing in The Control Center Music Play, But YouTube Blocked It. However, There Is Still A Way to Listen to The Audio Without Leaving the Screen on Or Having the Video Open. See How in This Tutorial.

To listen to a video in the background, you cannot use the YouTube application. With it, it really is not possible because Google does everything so that you do not miss the ads that appear during the video. To do so, you will have to use Safari, enabling a small trick to make the process work.

Step 1: Open the iPhone's (or iPad) Safari the desired video page on YouTube.

Step 2:  Now comes the important part that makes the trick work. Touch and hold for 1 second the page reload button (in the address bar) until the options menu appears below the screen.

Step 3: From the menu that appears, touch Desktop Version. This will cause the page to open not in the mobile version, but in the PC version.

Step 4: You will see the page as if you were on a computer. Play the video and then quit Safari (by pressing the front button or on the iPhone X, dragging the bottom up). You will notice that when you quit Safari, the video audio will stop. This is normal.

Step 5: Open the Control Center and touch the music player. Okay, you're already listening to the video and can do other things on the iPhone while listening to the audio.

You can even put the iPhone screen on standby so you do not spend battery. The native music widget allows you to control the audio of the video. As stated at the beginning of this text, it is not something google likes very much and it may be that the trick will not work in future updates. but at least until iOS 11 it works without problems.
